Solar Panels Riverhills: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Riverhills system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Riverhills makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Riverhills is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. We look after Riverhills and the surrounding suburbs of Westlake, Middle Park and Pinjarra Hills, so a free on-site measure in 4074 is easy to book.

About Riverhills
Originally farmland in the Wolston Estate sale of 1901, the area was swept into LJ Hooker's Centenary Project in 1959. The developer suggested the Riverhills name in 1972 to describe the landscape, and the Queensland Place Names Board approved it in 1973. Low ground near the creeks went under in 2011, and the Newcomb Park pontoon had to be rebuilt after the 2022 flood.
Hills rise from under 10 metres by the Brisbane River to over 40 metres above Wolston Creek, with gullies draining toward the water. Roughly 4,100 people live here, 19.5 km south-west of the CBD. Riverhills Plaza on Bogong Street covers the basics, and Newcomb Park's boat ramp is home base for the Centenary Rowing Club and Lakers Dragon Boat Club.

Solar panels in Riverhills: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Riverhills?
Most Riverhills homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Riverhills?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Riverhills?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Riverhills 4074 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Riverhills is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Westlake, Middle Park, Pinjarra Hills, Jamboree Heights. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
