Solar panels in Redcliffe, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Redcliffe homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Redcliffe quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Redcliffe makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Redcliffe is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Redcliffe also covers neighbouring Margate, Newport and Kippa-Ring, all within about 2km.
- Being close to the water, Redcliffe gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Redcliffe: a local snapshot
Matthew Flinders came ashore in July 1799 and called the place Red Cliff Point after the coloured cliffs nearby. In September 1824 Lieutenant Henry Miller set up a penal colony here with 14 soldiers and 29 convicts, but it moved to the Brisbane River within a year. The area later became a popular seaside resort in the 1880s, and the Hornibrook Bridge in 1935 opened the way for suburban growth.
Facing Moreton Bay on the peninsula's eastern shore, Redcliffe centres on its jetty, Suttons Beach and the Settlement Cove Lagoon. Redcliffe Parade is lined with restaurants, and the Sunday markets draw crowds. The Bee Gees walkway, botanic gardens and museum are local favourites. Kayo Stadium is home base for the Dolphins, and high rise apartments have been going up along the coast since the 2000s.

Solar panels in Redcliffe: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Redcliffe?
Most Redcliffe homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Redcliffe?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Redcliffe?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Redcliffe 4020 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Redcliffe is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Margate, Newport, Kippa-Ring, Scarborough. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
