Solar panels in Shorncliffe, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Shorncliffe, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Shorncliffe homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Shorncliffe makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Shorncliffe is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe. From Shorncliffe to nearby Sandgate and Deagon, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Being close to the water, Shorncliffe gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.
- Many Shorncliffe homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Shorncliffe
The Aboriginal name for this spot is Warra. Surveyor James Burnett thought the cliffs looked like those at Shorncliffe Army Camp in Kent, and named them to match. William Deagon built the first pier in 1879, and St Nicolas Anglican Church opened a year later. Sandgate Golf Club formed in 1921, St Patrick's College arrived in 1952, and a new pier replaced the old one in 2016.
Water on almost every side. Bramble Bay lies ahead and Cabbage Tree Creek runs along the south to Cabbage Tree Point, leaving Sandgate as the only land neighbour. The pier is one of the longest recreational piers in the country. Moora Park includes an off-leash dog beach, and the train line ends at Shorncliffe station. Plenty of houses and buildings are heritage-listed.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Shorncliffe?
Most Shorncliffe homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Shorncliffe?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Shorncliffe?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Shorncliffe 4017 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Shorncliffe is part of our Brisbane Northside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Sandgate, Deagon, Boondall, Nudgee Beach. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
