Solar Panels Stapylton: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Stapylton system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Stapylton makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Stapylton is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. We look after Stapylton and the surrounding suburbs of Yatala, Mount Warren Park and Gilberton, so a free on-site measure in 4207 is easy to book.

About Stapylton
The suburb carries the name of surveyor Granville William Chetwynd Stapylton, who was killed near Mount Lindesay in 1840. A railway station opened here in 1889, the first stop after Beenleigh on the South Coast line. The local state school ran from 1920 to 1961. In 1974 the Yatala Drive-In opened, and the area belonged to the Shire of Albert until amalgamation in 1995.
Stapylton is a mixed-use area bounded on the west by the Albert River and the Pacific Motorway. Mount Stapylton, also called Yellowwood Mountain, rises to 152 metres in the north, with a weather radar tower on top. You will find an industrial park, quarries, Aldi, Harvey Norman and a landfill and recycling centre. The drive-in still runs two big screens, and Dick Johnson Racing is based here.

Solar panels in Stapylton: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Stapylton?
Most Stapylton homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Stapylton?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Stapylton?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Stapylton 4207 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Stapylton is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Yatala, Mount Warren Park, Gilberton, Alberton. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
