Why Griffin homes choose RS Energy for repairs & upgrades

Inverters are the hardest working part of a solar system and most last 10 to 15 years. When one fails, your panels keep sitting in the sun but you get nothing from them. Many Griffin homes also have systems that were installed by companies no longer around.

We test the array, inverter, isolators and wiring, then give you a clear written report. If replacement makes more sense, we will quote a like-for-like inverter or a hybrid inverter that is ready for a battery.

North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our repairs & upgrades work in Griffin also covers neighbouring Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill and Brighton, all within about 4km.

  • Newer homes in Griffin usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Griffin: a local snapshot

Griffin takes its name from a family who came out to Australia from the Orkney Islands in Scotland. For a long time it was a quiet mix of farms and houses, then the numbers took off. Around 2,360 people lived here in 2011, about 6,840 by 2016 and more than 12,000 by 2021. Griffin State School opened its doors at the start of 2016 to keep up.

How do I know if my solar system is faulty?

Common signs are an inverter showing a red light or error code, a blank screen during the day, a power bill that jumps without a change in usage, or monitoring that shows zero output on a sunny day.

Do you fix systems you did not install?

Yes. A lot of our repair work in Griffin is on systems from companies that have since closed. We work on all mainstream brands.

Should I repair or replace my inverter?

If the inverter is under warranty, we will help you claim it. If it is over 10 years old and out of warranty, replacing it is usually better value than repairing, and it is a good moment to consider a battery-ready hybrid.

How often should solar panels be checked?

Every two to three years is a good rule, or sooner near the coast where salt air is harder on fixings and isolators.

Do you service Griffin 4503 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Griffin is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Brighton, Kallangur. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
