Griffin is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Newer homes in Griffin usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Griffin: history and local area
Griffin takes its name from a family who came out to Australia from the Orkney Islands in Scotland. For a long time it was a quiet mix of farms and houses, then the numbers took off. Around 2,360 people lived here in 2011, about 6,840 by 2016 and more than 12,000 by 2021. Griffin State School opened its doors at the start of 2016 to keep up.
The suburb runs along the northern bank of the Pine River, which splits into its North and South branches further inland. Down by the water you will find Osprey House, an environmental centre with boardwalks and a bird hide, plus a boat ramp and floating walkway on Dohles Rocks Road. Land use is still a blend of new housing and farmland. Secondary students head to Murrumba Downs.
Plenty of Griffin's housing is recent estate construction, which often means modern roofs with clean, unshaded runs that suit a well laid out array and a battery sized for busy family evenings.
