Going solar in Carseldine
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Carseldine is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Carseldine: history and local area
William Carseldine, a fencing contractor who arrived in 1854 and settled at Bald Hills four years later, was honoured when the Place Names Board created the suburb in August 1975. That same year a college of advanced education opened a campus here, which later became part of QUT. QUT left in 2008, the buildings housed public servants from 2012, and in 2016 plans were announced for the Carseldine Urban Village.
Mostly residential, Carseldine runs along Gympie Road with the North Coast railway and Carseldine station on its eastern edge. Around 20 parks are spread through the suburb, the best known named after tennis champion Pat Rafter. Heritage spots include the Elliot Farmhouse and Brisbane Mud Springs Park. There are no schools within the boundaries, so families travel to neighbouring suburbs.
In a mainly residential suburb with plenty of parkland rather than tall buildings, most rooftops get open sky, which suits pairing a full-sized array with a home battery.
