Going solar in Bridgeman Downs
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Bridgeman Downs is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Bridgeman Downs: history and local area
Henry St John Bridgeman bought land between Albany Creek Road, Bridgeman Road and Beams Road in November 1860, and his name lives on in the suburb. For a long time the area was known for large acreage properties rather than streets of houses. The Anglican Church of the Resurrection was consecrated in 1981, and suburban housing estates spread in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Some acreage remains among the newer estates, about 15 kilometres north of the city. Chermside Hills Reserve and around two dozen parks provide green space, and Pinnaroo Cemetery and Crematorium is on Graham Street. Shops at McDowall village and Metro on Beckett serve the south, with Aspley Hypermarket to the north. Beckett Road is the main bus corridor.
Remaining acreage blocks may have room for ground-mounted panels, while large homes from the late 1980s and 1990s often carry big air conditioning and pool pump loads worth planning a system around.
