Going solar in Corinda
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Corinda is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Many Corinda homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Corinda: history and local area
Farming families arrived in the 1860s, among them the Francis family, who bought 21 acres in 1862. Rail came through in 1874 and a shopping strip formed along Oxley Road. The station name, and so the suburb's, probably comes from Sir Arthur Palmer's cattle run near Aramac. After the 1920s the commercial area grew fast and bungalows spread across the low ground toward Oxley Creek.
Hemmed in by the Brisbane River and Oxley Creek, Corinda has both flood plain and hills, and a landslip in 1974 showed some slopes can move. Queenslanders sit up around Francis Lookout on Dewar Terrace, with bungalows below. Locals use the heated 50 m Dunlop Park pool, a library on Oxley Road and the station. Schools include Corinda State High and St Aidan's.
Hilltop Queenslanders near Francis Lookout tend to get clear sun on their tin roofs, while bungalows on the Oxley Creek flood plain need batteries and inverters placed with flood levels in mind.
