Going solar in MacGregor
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
MacGregor is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

MacGregor: history and local area
Carved out of Sunnybank in 1967, MacGregor takes its name from Sir William MacGregor, a Scot who served as Governor of Queensland between 1909 and 1914. Schools arrived quickly once houses went up: MacGregor State High School welcomed its first students in January 1969, and the primary school followed in January 1972.
Compact at 2.7 square kilometres, it is bordered on the east by the Pacific Motorway. D. M. Henderson Park is the local green space, home to netball courts used by the MacGregor Netball Association and a scout group. Griffith University and the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre sit just over the boundary in Nathan, and the city is about 13 km north.
Homes in a suburb established in the late 1960s may still have original wiring and switchboards, so an electrical check is a sensible first step before adding panels, a bigger inverter or a home battery.
