Going solar in Upper Mount Gravatt
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Upper Mount Gravatt is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Upper Mount Gravatt: history and local area
The state school opened in 1929 and Catholic schools followed, with St Bernard's in 1953, Clairvaux in 1966 and St Catherine's in 1973. The big change came in 1970, when Westfield opened a $10 million shopping centre on an 11 hectare site. In 1985 the MacKillop and Clairvaux colleges merged into the school that still operates today.
Logan Road runs right through, connecting Mount Gravatt to the north with Eight Mile Plains to the south, and the Pacific Motorway and busway form the western edge. Westfield Mt Gravatt is the focal point, with a bus interchange underneath and the Garden City library inside. The bowls club, the Vultures AFL club on Klumpp Road and Malinya Place Park keep weekends busy.
For households near the busway who are out at work or school all day, pairing panels with a battery helps shift midday solar into the evening, when most power gets used.
