Going solar in Wishart
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Wishart is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Wishart: history and local area
Known as Mount Gravatt South until 1967, the suburb now honours the Wishart family, early settlers here. Newnham Road was once part of a stock route to the Cannon Hill saleyards, and cattle still walked it into the 1960s. Small farms along the road were later subdivided into house blocks as Brisbane spread south-east.
Bulimba Creek bends around the south and south-east, with a strip of parkland and bush on its western bank, while the Gateway Motorway marks the eastern side. Mount Gravatt to Capalaba Road cuts across the suburb. It is mainly suburban housing, and Wishart State School is a big one, with 756 students in 2018 and a special education program.
Suburban family homes on former farm blocks usually have decent unshaded roof area, though streets backing onto the Bulimba Creek bushland may have trees to work around when placing panels.
