Going solar in Robertson
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Robertson is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Robertson: history and local area
In the mid-1960s this was the unsubdivided southern end of Sunnybank. The Place Names Board named it in August 1967 after Dr William Nathaniel Robertson of the University of Queensland Senate. Things moved quickly after Sunnybank Plaza and Griffith's Nathan campus both opened in 1975: the population went from 945 in 1976 to over 3,000 a decade later, and Robertson State School opened in 1980.
Kessels, Mains, McCullough and Troughton Roads roughly mark the edges of this tiny 1.7 square kilometre suburb. Land use is almost all residential. Sunnybank Plaza sits right on the south-east corner, just outside the boundary, and buses on Mains Road link to the city about 13.7 km away via the M3. Robertson State School on Musgrave Road is the only school.
In a suburb that is almost entirely houses and mostly built from the late 1970s, roofs are now several decades old, so checking their condition is a smart first step before panels go up.
