Going solar in Nathan
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Nathan is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Nathan: history and local area
Mount Gravatt Cemetery opened on this land in 1918, and local Aboriginal people continued living in the area into the 1940s. The suburb was formally created in 1967 and named after Sir Matthew Nathan, Governor of Queensland from 1920 to 1926. Its stadium hosted the opening ceremony of the 1982 Commonwealth Games.
Much of Nathan is taken up by Toohey Forest Conservation Park, Griffith University's Nathan campus and the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, which the Queensland Academy of Sport also uses. The cemetery and crematorium sit on Mains Road, and an environmental education centre runs on South Ring Road. With only about 1,100 residents, it has no schools of its own.
With Toohey Forest covering much of the suburb, the few homes here and in neighbouring streets can face tree shading, so panel placement and microinverters deserve careful thought.
