Going solar in Salisbury
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Salisbury is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Salisbury: history and local area
William Coote, an early Brisbane engineer, architect, journalist and politician, named his home Salisbury, and the suburb followed. The station opened with the Beenleigh line in 1885 and estates sold from 1912. It stayed largely rural until the Rocklea Munitions Works started in November 1941. Trams reached Evans Road that same year, and housing really took off in the 1960s.
Toohey Mountain and Toohey Forest Park sit on the north-east boundary, giving the suburb a big green backdrop. Homes are mainly detached, from traditional Queenslanders on blocks around 800 square metres to newer houses on 400, and the area is slowly renewing. Russ Hall Park, Salisbury station, Brisbane Christian College and two primary schools serve locals, with industry mixed in.
Traditional Queenslanders on bigger blocks often have tin roofs and room for plenty of panels, while newer homes on 400 square metre lots may rely on efficient panels and a compact battery.
