Going solar in Coopers Plains
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Coopers Plains is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Coopers Plains: history and local area
Patrick Logan probably named Cowper's Plains after Dr Henry Cowper, a surgeon at the Moreton Bay penal settlement, and a convict outstation was set up here in 1828. The spelling drifted to Coopers Plains by 1877. A post office came in 1876 and the station in 1885, yet it stayed rural until the 1940s, when a US Army barracks and then Housing Commission homes went in.
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital and the Health and Food Sciences Precinct, opened in 2010, are the big landmarks. Coopers Plains station is on the Beenleigh line, a string of bus routes pass through, and Griffith University's Nathan campus is close by. The council library on Orange Grove Road, Beryl Roberts park and a small state primary school serve the community.
Housing Commission homes built from the early 1950s are now around seventy years old, so their roof sheeting and switchboards may need attention before panels or a battery are added.
