Going solar in Stretton
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Stretton is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Stretton: history and local area
Governor Bowen set aside a Brisbane Agricultural Reserve in 1861 stretching from Eight Mile Plains to here, and settlers grew fruit, vegetables and poultry on it. A military map from 1922 showed only four houses. The suburb was gazetted in 1972 and named after George Stretton, a Browns Plains settler, postmaster and hotelier in the 1870s.
Hills dominate the north before the land flattens out to the south, where bush thickens next to Karawatha Forest and the Calamvale Creek wetlands. Stretton State College, opened in 2006, teaches from Prep to Year 12. Small local shops cover the basics, with Calamvale Village, Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown and Westfield Garden City a short drive away.
Homes on the northern hills often have a clear aspect, while those near Karawatha Forest may contend with tree shade, so the right system size can vary a lot from one street to the next.
