Solar Panels Chandler: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Chandler system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Chandler makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Chandler is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. We look after Chandler and the surrounding suburbs of Belmont, Gumdale and Wakerley, so a free on-site measure in 4155 is easy to book.

About Chandler

Surveyor James Warner marked a ford over Tingalpa Creek at The Rocks Crossing in 1850, and a bridge went in there in 1874. The Grassdale Land Company auctioned land in 1885, yet the district stayed thinly settled and kept much of its bush. The suburb honours former Lord Mayor Sir John Beals Chandler. Venues for the 1982 Commonwealth Games were built here, and Capalaba West was folded in during 2010.

Semi rural and largely bushland, Chandler is made up of acreage homes with Tingalpa Creek on the east and Tingalpa Reservoir to the south. The big drawcard is the Sleeman Sports Complex, home to the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Chandler Arena and the Anna Meares Velodrome. There is also a theatre, a park and ride and a waste transfer station on Tilley Road. Shops and schools are in nearby suburbs.

How much does solar cost in Chandler?

Most Chandler homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Chandler?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Chandler?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Chandler 4155 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Chandler is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Belmont, Gumdale, Wakerley, Capalaba. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
