Solar Panels Capalaba: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Capalaba system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Capalaba makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Capalaba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The Redlands coast runs from Capalaba and Birkdale through Cleveland and Victoria Point to Redland Bay and the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, with plenty of larger blocks around Mount Cotton and Sheldon. We look after Capalaba and the surrounding suburbs of Alexandra Hills, Chandler and Thorneside, so a free on-site measure in 4157 is easy to book.

About Capalaba
Farmers, timber cutters and sawmillers moved in during the 1850s, crossing Tingalpa Creek at a ford surveyor James Warner noted in 1850, later known as The Rocks Crossing. The town was surveyed as Tingalpa in 1863 and renamed Capalaba in 1927, believed to come from a Yugarabul word for the ringtail possum. The Leslie Harrison Dam, finished in 1968, set off rapid growth in the 1970s.
Tingalpa Creek forms the western border with Brisbane, and its dam holds back the Tingalpa Reservoir. Capalaba Park Shopping Centre opened in 1981 on the site of Queensland's first drive-in, and Capalaba Central adds a cinema. There is a busy bus station, around 20 parks, the IndigiScapes environmental centre and a Tallowwood tree thought to be over 400 years old.

Solar panels in Capalaba: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Capalaba?
Most Capalaba homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Capalaba?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Capalaba?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Capalaba 4157 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Capalaba is part of our Redlands service area in the Redland City Council area, and we regularly work in Alexandra Hills, Chandler, Thorneside, Ransome. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
