Solar panels in Clayfield, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Clayfield, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Clayfield homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Clayfield makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Clayfield is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe. From Clayfield to nearby Kalinga and Nundah, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Many Clayfield homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Clayfield
Fine white-grey clay dug in Albion fed brickworks near Sandgate Road, and that clay gave Clayfield its name. A Baptist church opened in 1874, and estates like Sefton, Isleton and Noble were auctioned from 1885 to 1888. The state school opened in 1895 and became Eagle Junction State School in 1901. St Agatha's, St Rita's College and Clayfield College all opened between 1925 and 1931.
Roughly 7.4 kilometres by road north-east of the city, Clayfield takes in the Eagle Junction area and runs up to Kalinga Park. Heritage-listed homes are plentiful, including Federation, interwar and California bungalow styles alongside classic Queenslanders. Trains stop at both Clayfield and Eagle Junction, and four schools sit within the suburb, making it a busy spot at drop-off time.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Clayfield?
Most Clayfield homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Clayfield?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Clayfield?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Clayfield 4011 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Clayfield is part of our Brisbane Northside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Kalinga, Nundah, Hendra, Wooloowin. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
