A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Rochedale South homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Rochedale South quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Rochedale South makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Rochedale South is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Rochedale South: a local snapshot
The name dates to the 1880s and comes from the Rochedale homestead of the Roche family, who settled in 1868. In 1952 the Gill family ran a poultry farm and piggery here. Everything changed in 1967 when the land became the first sewered estate in the region. Strathlands shopping centre opened in 1970, the first state school in 1974, and Rochedale South was split from Rochedale in August 1979.
Underwood Road along the north marks the line between Logan and Brisbane, and the Pacific Motorway runs down part of the west. The district was once known for red soil good for crops. Today about 15,200 people live here, mostly on estate blocks. Rochedale Shopping Village, formerly Strathlands, is the local hub, with two state primary schools nearby and Rochedale Rovers FC playing at Underwood Park.

Solar panels in Rochedale South: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Rochedale South?
Most Rochedale South homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Rochedale South?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Rochedale South?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Rochedale South 4123 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Rochedale South is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Springwood, Underwood, Priestdale, Rochedale. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
