Solar Panels Slacks Creek: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Slacks Creek system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Slacks Creek makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Slacks Creek is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. We look after Slacks Creek and the surrounding suburbs of Kingston, Logan Central and Woodridge, so a free on-site measure in 4127 is easy to book.

About Slacks Creek
The creek, and later the suburb, took its name from the Slack family, who ran cattle here before closer settlement. Its Aboriginal name, Mungaree, is said to mean place of fishes. A provisional school opened in 1873 while the area was part of the Shire of Tingalpa. The name became official in 1971, the area was bounded as a locality in 1979, and it became a suburb in 1991.
Slacks Creek sits about 20 metres above sea level, with the creek feeding the wider Logan River catchment and the Pacific Motorway along most of the eastern edge. Queensland's first IKEA moved here from Rochedale South in 2006. In 2018, Mabel Park State School and Mabel Park State High School had about 1,600 students between them. More than 10,000 people live here.

Solar panels in Slacks Creek: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Slacks Creek?
Most Slacks Creek homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Slacks Creek?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Slacks Creek?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Slacks Creek 4127 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Slacks Creek is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Kingston, Logan Central, Woodridge, Daisy Hill. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
