Solar Panels Grange: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Grange system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Grange makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Grange is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. We look after Grange and the surrounding suburbs of Alderley, Stafford and Gordon Park, so a free on-site measure in 4051 is easy to book.
- Many Grange homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

About Grange
A tannery and fellmongery were working the land in the 1860s. Suburban life started in 1903 when T. K. Peate's property was carved up as the Grange Estate, and the name likely traces back to an Old English word for granary. Trams reached the area in July 1928, and the Valleys Diehards have played at Emerson Park since 1971.
Kedron Brook runs along the northern side, and The Pinnacle rises to 57 metres in the west. About 4,600 people live on 1.8 square kilometres, around 5 km north of the city. Despite the name, Wilston State School is actually here, and it is heritage listed. The library on Evelyn Street dates from 1979, and Lanham Park is home to Grange Thistle and the bowls club.

Solar panels in Grange: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Grange?
Most Grange homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Grange?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Grange?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Grange 4051 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Grange is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Alderley, Stafford, Gordon Park, Newmarket. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
