Why Dunbible homes choose RS Energy for repairs & upgrades

Inverters are the hardest working part of a solar system and most last 10 to 15 years. When one fails, your panels keep sitting in the sun but you get nothing from them. Many Dunbible homes also have systems that were installed by companies no longer around.

We test the array, inverter, isolators and wiring, then give you a clear written report. If replacement makes more sense, we will quote a like-for-like inverter or a hybrid inverter that is ready for a battery.

The Tweed runs from the border at Tweed Heads down the coast to Pottsville and inland along the river to Murwillumbah and Uki, a mix of beach houses, river-flat towns and hinterland acreage. Our repairs & upgrades work in Dunbible also covers neighbouring Stokers Siding, South Murwillumbah and Murwillumbah, all within about 5km.

  • Plenty of Dunbible properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Dunbible: a local snapshot

Dunbible was a small farming community from the late 1880s, running dairy cattle, beef and pigs. When Dunbible Station opened on Christmas Eve 1894 on the Murwillumbah line, farmers could send dairy produce to bigger markets through the Norco Co-operative. The name is thought to come from the Bundjalung word djunbi, a black apple tree, though a local tale involves a pastor dropping his Bible.

How do I know if my solar system is faulty?

Common signs are an inverter showing a red light or error code, a blank screen during the day, a power bill that jumps without a change in usage, or monitoring that shows zero output on a sunny day.

Do you fix systems you did not install?

Yes. A lot of our repair work in Dunbible is on systems from companies that have since closed. We work on all mainstream brands.

Should I repair or replace my inverter?

If the inverter is under warranty, we will help you claim it. If it is over 10 years old and out of warranty, replacing it is usually better value than repairing, and it is a good moment to consider a battery-ready hybrid.

How often should solar panels be checked?

Every two to three years is a good rule, or sooner near the coast where salt air is harder on fixings and isolators.

Do you service Dunbible 2484 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Dunbible is part of our Tweed Heads & Tweed Coast service area in the Tweed Shire Council area, and we regularly work in Stokers Siding, South Murwillumbah, Murwillumbah, Uki. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
