Going solar in Acacia Ridge
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Acacia Ridge is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Acacia Ridge: history and local area
The Flemington Estate was advertised in October 1884, but real growth came after World War II, when the suburb was developed to house returning servicemen and their families. Many of those original post-war homes are still standing. The name reflects the many acacia species growing in the area, and official boundaries were set in August 1975.
Mostly residential, with a heavy industrial zone east of Beaudesert Road and one of Queensland's largest rail freight yards. It touches a corner of Archerfield Airport. Iceworld on Beaudesert Road is a long-running ice skating rink, and a heritage-listed air raid shelter and the old Carr's Quarry remain. Acacia Ridge State School and the Murri School are both here.
Original post-war homes often have low-pitched metal roofs that take panels well, but their older wiring may need upgrading, especially before adding a battery or replacing old air conditioning.
