Going solar in Archerfield
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Archerfield is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Archerfield: history and local area
The Grenier family came over from New Zealand in 1845 and farmed a property called The Willows, burying their own in God's Acre Cemetery. Michael Durack bought the 14,000 acre Archerfield pastoral station in 1881, which gave the suburb its name. In 1931 the airport opened on The Willows site, and in World War II it supported military flying in the Pacific.
The airport takes up the middle and south-west of the suburb, with Oxley Creek to the west and Beaudesert Road to the east. Apart from two small residential pockets, it is industrial, home to just 533 people. The Second World War igloos on Kerry Road are heritage listed, and the Archerfield Wetlands District Park offers playgrounds and walking and cycling trails nearby.
Industrial sheds around the airport often have broad, flat roof areas, while residential pockets near the runway should confirm any height or glare requirements before installing panels.
