Going solar in Moorooka
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Moorooka is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Moorooka: history and local area
Travellers heading south and south-west out of Brisbane used this area as a stopover. The Fairmount Estate came up for auction in 1884, and Moorooka Park Estate was split into 329 lots in 1889. The state school opened in January 1929, trams arrived in 1937 and the council's bowls club opened in 1968. The name may come from an Indigenous word for ironbark.
Two sides to this suburb: the higher eastern half is mostly houses and runs up against Toohey Forest Park, while the lower western side along Ipswich Road is lined with car yards and shops. Moorooka Central shopping centre and the railway station serve locals, with the Gold Coast line running along part of the western edge. St Brendan's and Moorooka State School cover the primary years.
Houses on the elevated eastern side backing onto Toohey Forest may get shade from tall trees late in the day, so checking how sun falls on each roof face helps get the most from a system.
