Going solar in Bowen Hills
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Bowen Hills is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Bowen Hills: history and local area
Named after Queensland Governor Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the area was a postal district by 1866. The Acclimatisation Society had already taken over Bowen Park in 1862. Settlement picked up in the 1870s, with a post office in 1878 and the railway in 1882. Queensland Newspapers built its headquarters here in the 1960s, and the 2010s brought a wave of new apartments and shops.
Crowds pour into the Exhibition Grounds every year for the Ekka. Bowen Hills station is one of the busiest in Queensland, and there is also a large rail depot. Perry Park Stadium hosts mostly soccer, while the Old Museum Building on Gregory Terrace and Bowen Park add history. Montpelier hill rises to 49 m. The suburb is a mix of apartment complexes, retail and transport land.
Newer apartment complexes and big commercial roofs make up much of Bowen Hills, so shared solar systems and daytime business use are the natural fit, rather than standard single house installs.
