Going solar in Fortitude Valley
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Fortitude Valley is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Fortitude Valley: history and local area
Scottish immigrants who reached Brisbane in 1849 aboard the ship Fortitude camped at York's Hollow, and the valley was named after their vessel. A school opened in 1861, rail came in 1891, and by the late 1890s rival drapers had turned it into a shopping hub. South Brisbane traders moved across after the 1893 flood. Chinatown Mall followed in 1987, and in 2005 it became Australia's first Special Entertainment Precinct.
Just 1.6 km north east of the CBD on low, once marshy ground, the Valley is known for its Brunswick Street and Chinatown malls and the James Street precinct. Fortitude Valley station is a busy rail stop. Council has encouraged high density living, so new homes must meet noise standards, and the state secondary college was even built vertically. All Hallows' School is one of several schools.
High density apartments and late night venues dominate here, so rooftop solar paired with batteries on commercial and residential buildings can help carry evening loads after the sun has set.
