Going solar in Bundall
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Bundall is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Bundall: history and local area
Edmund Henry Price took up land here in 1862 and grew sugarcane, which was crushed at the Benowa mill. Dairy farms came later, before the land gave way to houses and offices. A provisional school opened under the Bundall name in 1885, though it was renamed for Benowa in 1900. The suburb takes its name from an Aboriginal word for a type of prickly vine.
The Nerang River wraps around the south-east and south, and canals edge the western side. Houses cluster near the water in the north, while offices and commercial buildings fill the area north of Ashmore Road. Southport Racecourse, now Aquis Park, is the big landmark, and Bundall Iceland is home ice for the Gold Coast Blue Tongues. Sorrento, a canal estate, forms the southern neighbourhood.
Bundall mixes canal homes with commercial buildings, so households can weigh a standard roof system with battery while business owners with large flat roofs and daytime loads can usually use most of what they generate on site.
