Going solar in Benowa
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Benowa is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Benowa: history and local area
Sugar came first. Robert Muir had a plantation on the north bank of the Nerang River in 1870, and Benowa Estate blocks were advertised for auction in October 1887. The name may come from Boonow, a Bundjalung word for the bloodwood tree. The local state school carries the Benowa name from 1 January 1909, and Benowa State High School opened in 1980 with a French immersion course that the school is still known for.
Ashmore Road splits the suburb into older Benowa on the north side and the canal streets of Benowa Waters on the other, with easy boat access to the Nerang River. Royal Pines Resort has hosted the Australian PGA Championship, and Sir Bruce Small Park is home to football, baseball and bowls clubs. A handful of houses date to the 1890s, though many have been replaced by newer builds.
With a mix of 1890s cottages, renovated older homes and modern canal builds, roof condition varies a lot from street to street, so an honest roof and switchboard check is the starting point for any panel or battery plan.
