Going solar in Burbank
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Burbank is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Burbank: history and local area
Locals knew this district as Upper Tingalpa until 1 June 1976, when it was renamed after Alfred Harry Burbank, a surveyor and farmer who lived here from 1890 to 1908. Since 1990 Brisbane City Council has been buying undeveloped land for nature reserves, and the Brisbane Koala Bushlands were set up in 1992. In 2008 a private block became the first conservation area protected under a covenant with council.
Covering more than 30 square kilometres but home to only about 1,050 people, Burbank is part of Brisbane's greenbelt and backs onto Redland and Logan. Tingalpa Creek marks the eastern side. Land has deliberately been kept out of small lot subdivision, so homes sit on big properties among bushland. Visitors come for the Koala Bushlands boardwalks on Ford Road, and Sinai College is the only school.
Large rural properties surrounded by koala habitat often have room for ground mounted panels clear of tall gums, and a battery can help keep pumps and essentials running when storms bring down lines through the bush.
