Going solar in Mackenzie
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Mackenzie is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Mackenzie: history and local area
Mount Petrie State School opened at the end of March 1955, an early sign of settlement here. Mount Gravatt Special School, which began in 1971, relocated to Mackenzie in September 2012. Over the past decade or so several new residential estates have added hundreds of houses to what had been a quiet, partly bush-covered corner of Brisbane.
Small and fairly quiet, Mackenzie still has patches of undeveloped bushland between its estates. There is no shopping centre, only a petrol station, so residents drive to neighbouring suburbs for groceries. The Gateway Motorway and Mount Gravatt to Capalaba Road pass through, making the city about 20 km by road. A state primary, a special school and two churches serve the community.
New estate homes typically have modern roofs with clear spans and fewer obstructions, which makes panel layout simple, and newer switchboards often make adding a battery straightforward.
