Going solar in Burleigh Waters
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Burleigh Waters is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Burleigh Waters: history and local area
Much of this area was once Stephens Swamp, which landholder Thomas Blacket Stephens began draining in 1861. Staged development began in the 1970s, with Hooker Corporation and BMD Group building the Burleigh Waters canal estate late in the decade. Private homes were going up by 1977, and the suburb was officially named and bounded on 1 June 1981, taking its name from Burleigh Head.
Five man-made lakes, including Lake Heron, Swan Lake and Burleigh Lake, plus a tidal canal network linking to The Broadwater, give the suburb its watery character. Marymount College, Caningeraba State School and a council library serve locals, and two large shopping centres sit in the south. Canal-front homes can flood in years of heavy rain. About 14,600 people lived here in 2021.
Canal-front homes built on former swamp land are known to flood in heavy years, so mounting batteries and inverters well above floor level is a sensible part of any solar plan here.
