Going solar in Reedy Creek
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Reedy Creek is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Reedy Creek: history and local area
Reedy Creek's growth is tied to its private schools. King's Christian College opened its first campus on 1 February 1980, with the Seventh Day Adventist school and Hillcrest Christian College following in 1982. Reedy Creek Baptist Church was built on Genvale Road in 2000, replacing the old church at Palm Beach. It is still described as a developing residential area.
The suburb sits at the southern end of the city where the hinterland begins, climbing from 10 metres in the north to over 190 metres in the south. Reedy Creek itself rises here and flows north-east under the M1 into Varsity Lakes. There are three private schools but no state school, and a footbridge links residents to Varsity Lakes railway station.
On hilly blocks that climb toward 190 metres, some homes enjoy clear northern sun while others sit below ridges or trees, so a site-specific shading check is worth doing before choosing a system.
