Going solar in Ekibin
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Ekibin is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Ekibin: history and local area
Ekibin no longer has its own suburb article and is now treated as part of Tarragindi. The name goes back to a man from the Loyalty Islands who was brought to Queensland in the late 1800s, worked for the Foote family of Ipswich and cleared land on a hill near Sandy Creek. During World War II a field hospital called Ekibin Hospital operated here, remembered today by a memorial park on Cracknell Road.
Ekibin Creek drains the eastern side of the Wellers Hill ridge, while Sandy Creek starts up in Toohey Forest and runs through the valley that holds most of the homes. Wellers Hill is the high point to the east, with Tarragindi Reservoir on the western edge. Families have Wellers Hill State School and St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary close by, and the CBD is roughly 9 km to the north.
With homes spread across a valley floor and up the slopes of Wellers Hill and Tarragindi Hill, roof direction and shading from neighbouring ridges and Toohey Forest trees vary a lot from street to street, so a proper site check matters.
