Going solar in Greenslopes
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Greenslopes is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Greenslopes: history and local area
Frederick Wecker bought land here in 1857 and planted lucerne on hillsides he called his green slopes, which gave the suburb its name. Before that, John Slack's bullock track from the Logan River settlements already ran through. Estates such as Baynes' Paddock were carved up in the 1870s and 1880s, and the southern end filled in after the tram arrived in 1914. The area became part of Greater Brisbane in 1925.
Only 6 km south of the CBD by road, Greenslopes sits beside the Pacific Motorway and the South East Busway, with a busway station on Barnsdale Street. Norman Creek winds through on its way to the river, and Stephens Mountain rises to 55 m in the south west. The big local employer is Greenslopes Private Hospital, which started life as a wartime repatriation hospital in 1942. Apartments and houses are split roughly half and half.
About half the homes here are apartments, so shared roof systems and body corporate approvals come into play, while the freestanding houses on the low hills often have good roof space for panels and a battery.
