Going solar in Holland Park
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Holland Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Holland Park: history and local area
Merchant Julius Holland bought a large block of scrub on speculation, and estates around it later took his name. Farming dominated from 1865. A mosque was built on the Mount Gravatt edge in 1908, trams reached a Holland Park terminus in 1926, and Queensland's first crematorium opened at Mount Thompson in 1934. The US Army ran a hospital on Logan Road in 1942, and its huts later became homes.
Slightly hilly and split down the middle by Logan Road, the suburb mixes mostly post-war timber houses with shops and a pub along the main road. The Brisbane Mosque is heritage listed, and Mount Thompson Crematorium is the oldest in the state. A council library on Seville Road, refreshed in 2015, plus a number of schools and parks round things out, about 9 km from the CBD.
Post-war timber homes often have older switchboards and simple pitched tin roofs. The roofs suit panels well, but the switchboard may need an upgrade before adding a battery or a larger inverter.
