Going solar in Enoggera
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Enoggera is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Enoggera: history and local area
John Brennan and Thomas Hayes bought land in 1845 and 1851, growing fruit and grapes. The name is usually linked to a Turrbal phrase for a song and dance place, later misspelled. The road to the Gympie goldfields came through in the 1860s, and the school opened in 1871. Land for the army barracks was acquired in 1910, and trams ran along Samford Road from 1949 until 1968.
Enoggera Hill climbs to 284 metres on the western side, while the Ferny Grove train line crosses the north-east, with a station that doubles as a bus interchange. Gallipoli Barracks takes up a large slice of the suburb. About 5,850 people live here, 7.6 km by road from the CBD. Memorial Park is home to Brisbane Irish Rugby, and Hillbrook Anglican is among the schools.
Homes on the slopes below Enoggera Hill can lose late afternoon sun depending on which side they face, so a west-facing array or a battery to cover evening usage may suit some streets better than others.
