Going solar in Helensvale
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Helensvale is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Helensvale: history and local area
Arthur Robinson and Ernest White set up a sugar plantation here around 1870, and the plantation name, which honours White's youngest sister Helena, stuck to the district. It was declared a locality on 31 March 1979, but the first residents did not move in until the 1980s. The state school opened in 1984, the high school in 1990 and Westfield Helensvale on 13 October 2005.
Between the Coomera River, Saltwater Creek, Coombabah Lake and the Pacific Motorway, Helensvale has grown into a mainly residential suburb of about 19,000 people. Canal estates in the north give boat access to the river. Helensvale station combines heavy rail, a light rail stop and a bus interchange. Robert Dalley Park hosts the Hornets rugby league side, and the Hogs play rugby union at Rugby Lane.
Helensvale's mix of 1980s and 1990s family homes and newer canal houses means roofs vary in age and size, so checking the condition of older tiles or sheeting first helps decide how big a system and battery the house can carry.
