Going solar in Parkwood
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Parkwood is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Parkwood: history and local area
Until 1989 this area went by the name Ernest. It was formally named and bounded as Parkwood on 16 September 1989, and most of the housing has gone up within roughly the last couple of decades. Transport took a big step in December 2017 when the G:link light rail opened stops at Parkwood and Parkwood East.
Streets here are leafy and green, lined with detached homes and kept gardens. A hill in the north reaches about 100 metres and forms part of Brushwood Ridge Reserve, and Parkwood Golf Course sits on Napper Road. The local rugby league side, the Parkwood Sharks, plays at Musgrave Sports Park in Labrador. Southport is about 8.7 km away by road.
Leafy streets and a ridge in the north mean some Parkwood roofs catch afternoon shade from trees, so a shade check and possibly panel-level optimisers can make a noticeable difference to how much a system produces.
