Going solar in Gaven
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Gaven is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Gaven: history and local area
Gaven honours Eric Gaven, who sat on Nerang Shire Council from 1935 to 1949 and then chaired Albert Shire Council from 1949 to 1950. The state electorate shares the name. A state school called Gaven opened on 27 January 1995, though boundary changes mean it now sits within Oxenford.
Just north of Nerang, with the Pacific Motorway forming its eastern edge, Gaven is a small rural residential locality where paddocks still sit beside homes, for example around Cockatoo Court. About 1,640 people lived here in 2021. There are no schools inside the boundary, so families use Pacific Pines, Arundel and Nerang schools nearby.
Rural residential lots in Gaven usually have open, unshaded paddock land and room around the house, which gives flexibility for a larger roof array, a shed mount or a ground-mounted system paired with a battery.
