Going solar in Maudsland
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Maudsland is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Maudsland: history and local area
A provisional school opened in Maudsland in 1879 and became a state school in 1909, staying open until 1963. Its old grounds are now Cliff Bird Park. The district was connected by telephone in 1924. Housing estates now cover the north, and by 2021 the population had reached 8,073.
Suburban estates cover the northern and north-eastern parts of Maudsland, while the rest is lower density rural residential and acreage. The centre is hilly, with unnamed peaks up to about 170 metres and a large undeveloped area. Maudsland Village Shopping Centre handles local shopping and reopened in 2013 after a fire the year before. There are no schools in the locality.
Acreage blocks in Maudsland can often fit a ground mount or a shed array, while homes on the hilly centre should check how the slopes shade their roofs before choosing panel layout and battery size.
