Going solar in Jamboree Heights
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Jamboree Heights is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Jamboree Heights: history and local area
Scouts camped here for the 8th Australian Scout Jamboree over the summer of 1967 and 1968, and the Queensland Place Names Board named the suburb after the event in July 1969. Before that it was Wolston Estate farmland, put up for auction in 1901, then folded into Hooker's Centenary Project. Jamboree Heights State School opened in January 1974.
It is a small, mostly residential suburb of 1.2 square kilometres and about 3,140 people, 16.2 km south-west of the CBD. Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre sits on its northern edge. Guide Street has Jamboree Park and a small shopping strip, and police, fire and ambulance stations are all within the suburb. The TS Vengeance naval cadet unit is based on Moolanda Street.
Compact suburban blocks in a mostly residential suburb usually have one main roof face to work with, so getting orientation right and sizing a battery to match evening use matters more than adding extra panels.
