Going solar in Middle Park
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Middle Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Middle Park: history and local area
Only three farms sold when the Wolston Estate went under the hammer in October 1901. Decades later, Middle Park became the sixth and last of L.J. Hooker's Centenary Suburbs, released for building in July 1976. Churches and schools followed quickly: St Catherine's Anglican in 1980, Good News Lutheran School in 1984 and Middle Park State School in 1987.
Tucked beside McLeod Country Golf Club, Middle Park packs about 3,850 residents into 1.5 square kilometres, 17.4 km by road from the city. It is a residential suburb with Park Village Shopping Centre, home to Coles and 25 specialty shops, on the corner of Horizon Drive and Riverhills Road. Two primary schools and five churches serve the community.
Homes built from the late 1970s onward usually have straightforward pitched roofs and room on the switchboard for an upgrade, making it a practical suburb for adding solar now and a battery later.
