Going solar in Murarrie
Brisbane's bayside east, from Wynnum and Manly through Tingalpa and Wakerley, mixes breezy bayfront homes with quieter family streets, and salt air near the water is a real design consideration.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Murarrie is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Murarrie: history and local area
Christopher Porter built Mooraree House in 1861, and the name likely comes from a Yuggera word meaning sticky or muddy. The spelling changed to Murarrie in 1907. A meatworks opened at Queensport in 1881, and the Doughboy training wall, finished in 1902, joined Gibson Island to the mainland. The state school opened in 1928, and News Corp printed papers on Lytton Road from 1995 to 2022.
Bounded by the Brisbane River on the north and Bulimba Creek to the east and south, Murarrie is mostly industrial and mixed use, with a residential corner in the south-west. Around 4,950 people live across its 9.4 square kilometres, roughly 11.9 km east of the city. The Gateway Motorway cuts through, trains stop at Murarrie station and paddlers use the canoe ramp.
The industrial sheds that make up much of Murarrie can carry large commercial arrays, while homes in the south-west pocket suit typical household systems paired with a battery.
