Going solar in Nudgee
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Nudgee is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Nudgee: history and local area
Nudgee comes from a Yugarabul word meaning place of ducks. St Vincent's Orphanage opened on Queens Road in 1866, and Nudgee Cemetery began a year later, growing into the largest private cemetery in Brisbane. The state school opened in 1875 and St Joseph's College in 1891. Nudgee Golf Club teed off in 1930 and expanded to 36 holes in 1985.
The Gateway Motorway marks the north-east edge, Kedron Brook the south-east, and Nundah Creek separates it from Boondall. Nudgee Waterhole Reserve holds a bora ring, and cultural tours are run there. Trains stop at Nudgee station on the Shorncliffe line. Farmhouses, the old orphanage and the cemetery are among its heritage-listed places, and the Banyo Devils play rugby league on Childs Road.
Homes between Kedron Brook and Nundah Creek sit on lower ground, so it makes sense to mount batteries and inverters up high and plan around possible flood levels.
