Going solar in Banyo
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Banyo is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Banyo: history and local area
Turrbal people lived here first. Europeans arrived in 1849, when the spot was called Clapham Junction, and estates were sold from 1884. Railways secretary James Dickson chose the name Banyo in 1897, from an Aboriginal word for a hill or ridge. That hill was quarried away during World War II to build Eagle Farm Airport. St Pius' school opened in 1947 and Banyo State High in 1954.
With the airport and port close by and quick Gateway Motorway access, Banyo mixes homes with growing business and industrial parks. Newer estates such as Couture, on a former Army depot, and Summerlin, on the old Hills Hoist site, have added housing. The memorial park holds the library and hall plus an annual Diwali Festival. Triple Eight Race Engineering is based here too.
Newer homes in estates like Couture and Summerlin often have modern, uncluttered roofs that suit a well-planned array, with a battery helping cover evening use when everyone is home.
