Going solar in Ashmore
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Ashmore is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Ashmore: history and local area
Blackbutt forest and wetland once covered much of this ground, and part of it was sold off with the Benowa sugar estate in 1887. Change came quickly in the 1970s, when Sydney investor Jim Donellon built the Ashmore Village housing estate and Ashmore Plaza followed late in the decade. The state school opened in 1978, and the suburb was formally named and bounded on 1 December 1982.
Ashmore today is mostly suburban housing with business and industrial parks mixed in, plus a small pocket of farmland beside the Gold Coast railway line. The Nerang River forms the south-western edge. Ashmore City Shopping Centre on Southport Nerang Road is the main place to shop, Trinity Lutheran College and two state primary schools serve families, and there is a TAFE campus on Heeb Street.
Much of Ashmore's housing dates from the 1970s onward, so checking whether an older switchboard needs upgrading is a sensible part of planning solar and a battery, and doing both together keeps the job tidy.
