Going solar in Robina
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Robina is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Robina: history and local area
In 1980 Robin Loh and Arthur Earle bought about 20 km² of old grazing country west of Broadbeach. Their names were blended into Robina: Robin plus an A for Arthur. Robina Land Corporation engaged designers Moshe Safdie and Robert Lamb Hart, and while it was being built it ranked as the largest master-planned community in the country. Gazettal came on 11 May 1985, and neighbouring Kerrydale was folded in on 19 May 1995.
About 25,700 people called Robina home in 2021, and the suburb works as both a residential and a commercial hub. Robina Town Centre anchors the shopping, Robina Stadium hosts the big games and Bond University has its main campus here. The Glades, a par 72 course laid out by Greg Norman, draws golfers, while schools range from Robina State School, opened in 1990, to Arcadia College.
Planned estates like Robina tend to have orderly street layouts and family homes with generous roof space, so many houses can fit a full array plus a battery to carry air conditioning loads into the evening.
